A pool with a very special charm…
When the outdoor pool was renovated in 2018, the old foil-lined swimming pool was converted into a stainless steel pool. The redevelopment work was carried out for just under 1.1 million euros. Some of the building work was intended to improve the bathing infrastructure, such as the installation of a new splash water tank and a frequency-controlled pump.
The developers also added a few optical highlights, including underwater lighting with changing colours and three lilies with a total length of six metres that were applied to the pool floor in an electrochemical process. Our guests can admire the symbol from above as they relax on the terrace by the outdoor pool.
The 14,500 m² bathing area features the following swimming pools:
Heated pool for both swimmers and non-swimmers
- Total size: 65 x 12 m (of which non-swimmers’ area: 15 x 12 m)
Paddling pool
- Size: 5 x 12 m
- Apparatus: water slide
The outdoor pool has a 90° C Finnish sauna that can accommodate up to 40 people.
In addition to the terraced sunbathing area, the Opelbad outdoor pool also has a large children’s playground and playing areas for outdoor chess, volleyball and table tennis.
You can rent deck chairs for a fee and hire single cabins for the whole season.
