Opelbad: Aqua-Jogging
The course takes place in June, July and August every Wednesday from 11am for 40 minutes.
Participation is free of charge apart from admission to the pool.
The great advantage of aqua jogging is that, compared to training on land, the spine, musculoskeletal system and joints are relieved as soon as you get into the water. They are also not strained during the exercises and are therefore protected. As on land, you jog - but in a floating position - through the deep water. One significant difference: when aqua jogging, you generally do not touch the bottom of the pool. To loosen up the ‘normal jogging’ a little and to train other muscle groups, the stride sizes are changed, the speed is varied and the arms are also used in addition.
The home of bathing pleasure…
If you’re looking for a relaxing experience with an idyllic view of the city and lots of other fun activities in the water, you should head to the Opelbad outdoor pool.
We have a wide range of exciting facilities: a heated pool for both swimmers and non-swimmers; a paddling pool; a slide; a Finnish sauna for approx. 40 people with automatic infusions and a temperature of 90°C; a terraced sunbathing area; a large children’s playground; playing areas for outdoor chess, volleyball and table tennis. And let’s not forget the fantastic location!
