The sparkling springs of Wiesbaden…
Wiesbaden’s close connection to its springs dates all the way back to the Mattiaci and the Romans. The city has 26 thermal springs, including some of the hottest in Europe, and the Faulbrunnen fountain, which is not classified as a thermal spring due to its water temperature of only 18°C. The origins of the springs are somewhat unclear, but they’re thought to be at least 200,000 years old.
